Happy birthday to me!

This is what was waiting on me when I got home from work this afternoon. 

Love this sweet face... and love her Daddy for surprising me with our baby all dressed up and ready to party with her very own birthday balloon hat.  Best birthday yet!!

On a roll...

Caroline rolled over today!  She rolled from her belly to her back 3 times in a row.  We even got it on video! 

Edisto

We spent the weekend in Edisto.  Fall is such a great time of year to be there.  The weather was perfect!

Caroline has now been to the beach a few times, but this was her very first boat ride on the Scout!  She loved it- life jacket and all!

Caroline had her friend Ellis to play with.

The boys got to do a little fishing...and caught a few sharks!

And we watched the Tigers play. 

Fabulous Fall weekend! 

Our Sweet Girl is 3 Months Old!

At 3 months Caroline:
* LOVES to babble.  Her little voice is getting louder and louder and it is the sweetest sound ever.  She really gets loud if she thinks she is not getting enough attention!  We may have a little drama queen on our hands. 
*play on her activity mat.  She will entertain herself on her mat for hours.  She especially likes to look at herself in the mirror and her favorite hanging toy is the octapus.
*grab her feet.  She recently found her feet, so you can usually find her with one or both in her hands! 
*started daycare.  She has been going until 1 pm everyday and is doing great!  Her teachers tell me she is just as good at school as she is at home. 
*sleeps great!  She will sleep from 10 pm to 7 am most nights.  She will occasionally wake up once to eat, but for the most part, she is sleeping through the night. 

Caroline is such a happy little thing.  We fall more in love with her every single day! 

We Made It

I had to go back to work this week, so Caroline started daycare at Bethel United Methodist Church Preschool.  I was surprised to be so sad about this.  I love my job, so it wasn't the working part that upset me.  I always thought Moms were so silly to be upset about leaving their children at daycare.  I just didn't get it.  But now, I completely understand!  All day Sunday I was close to tears and finally had a good cry Sunday evening before I was able to shake it off.  When Monday morning rolled around, I woke up early, got myself ready, got Caroline up and dressed and fed, but then it was time to leave and I couldn't do it.  I was afraid I wouldn't be able to leave her and I knew I couldn't do it without shedding some tears.  Luckily, Lee stepped in and took over!  He did the hard part and took her for her first day.  I was the lucky one who got to pick her up, and as everyone promised, she was perfectly happy with her teacher, Ms. Elizabeth. 

Did I mention that she is only going until 1 pm??  All of this and she was only there for 4 hours.  I'll probably need some serious help when she goes full time!

We took Caroline to Clemson on Saturday for the Furman game.  Although we didn't venture into the stadium just yet, she proved to be an excellent tailgater!

Labor Day

We spent the long weekend in Edisto to celebrate Labor Day and watch Clemson open the season against Auburn.  We had a great first few nights with Ryan, Kelly and Elizabeth Grace.  Then we spent our final night in Edisto with Bubbles and Mimi.  Great weather, great friends, the shag festival and a Clemson win made for a fabulous holiday weekend!
