Last trip as a family of 3!

Lee and I took a day off of work and enjoyed a long weekend in Edisto.  This is the last weekend I could travel before the baby arrives, so we wanted to make the most of it!

We made a stop in St. Matthews on Thursday night so Lee and some friends could go hunting.  Blair got this buck on Friday morning.

 

We then hit the road for Edisto.  On Saturday, the weather was cold, but it made for a great day to watch football with friends!

By Sunday the weather was perfect.  We took Caroline out to Botany Bay and spent some time on the beach.

This was it- our last trip as a family of 3!

Gameday take 2!

The Lee family football weekend this year was the Florida State game.  I won't even get into my thoughts on the game itself, but will say that we had a wonderful time in Clemson with all of my family.

Go Grayson!

Grayson is quite the soccer player these days.  We stopped in Columbia on our way home from Edisto to watch her in a tournament.  She was awesome and Lee snapped some pictures of her in action.

15 months

We had Caroline's 15 month appointment yesterday.

Her stats:

Height: 33 inches- 101%
Weight:  24 pounds 14 ounces- 75%
Head circumference:  48.3 cm- 95%

She also got 5 shots.  Poor thing.  She was a trooper...it helped that I remembered to pack a milk cup and snack!  For the first time, the shots made her run a fever.  It was about 101.5 when I got to school to pick her up and then she was up from 2-4:30 am.  She is such a good sleeper, this is a tell tale sign that she was not feeling well.  It is amazing how quickly you get used to being up in the middle of the night with a newborn and also amazing how quickly you forget!  I am exhausted today!

This is Caroline's Fall school picture.  It was a warm day, so she was wearing her flamingo outfit.  I completely forgot it was picture day, AGAIN, so while all of the other children were dressed in their best picture worthy outfits, Caroline was wearing a flamingo.  Super cute outfit on her, in the SUMMER!!  Oh well.

Saying so long to summer

We made the trip to Edisto this weekend to soak up some of the last days of Summer.  Caroline's friends Ellis and Pete came down to visit on Saturday and we had so much fun watching them together!  

We took Caroline to the beach Saturday evening and to say she enjoyed herself is an understatement!  I think she loves it more and more every time she goes.  She has NO FEAR and kept us chasing her the entire time.

On the way home, we stopped by to see Bubbles and Mimi and Princess Caroline was born.  She wore this crown our whole visit and even had to have it on while she played on the swing set!

A great weekend in Edisto with our friends and my sweet little family of 3.  It won't be long now until we are a family of 4!

3 years

Three years ago Lee asked me to marry him, and what an eventful 3 years it has been!

A wedding, a move, a new office, new baby, another move, a new job, another move, and now another new baby on the way.  We sure do keep it interesting around here...and I wouldn't change a thing!
