10 months

At 10 months, Tolson:

*is EVERYWHERE and into EVERYTHING.  She will put anything in her mouth.  If you are holding it, she wants it, no matter what it is.  

*can stand up for little periods of time, is moving around holding onto furniture and always on the move.  I think she will be walking before her birthday.

*can say Ma Ma, Da Da and Uh-oh.  Most of the time, she just repeats us, but every once and a while she says it in a way that seems more intentional.

*has her first tooth peaking through on the bottom.  It broke the skin just a few days ago.  

*likes to eat.  She seems to be over the bottles and baby food and wants to eat more real food.  

*is a little rascal.  The teachers at school tell us she likes to steal blankets and toys from the smaller kids.  

*is still a happy, happy baby!  

9 months and 26 months

Caroline insisted on having her picture taken, too, so we have a 9 month old and a 26 month old :)

At 9 months, Tolson:
*can pull up and crawls anywhere she wants to go
*is starting to eat more solid food
*is HAPPY almost all of the time
*still doesn't have any teeth
*babbles more and more.
*sleeps well, from about 8:30 to 7:00
*has more hair.  So far it is blonder and thicker than Caroline's.

At 26 months, Caroline:
*talks more every day.  She has funny, funny expressions that she picks up.
*is very smart.  She can count to 7 and knows all of her colors.
*loves her sister
*likes to be outside
*is doing well at school, although I think she is ready to move to the next classroom with some bigger kids
*is stubborn, likes things her way and is a typical 2 year old in those ways!
*will say she needs to go potty, but has only gone a handful of times
*loves her bubble baths.  She likes to "swim" with her bath toys.

Tolson at 8 months (a few days late)

At 8 months, Tolson:

* is on the move...she has mastered the crawl and is FAST! 

*will put anything in her mouth

*is always smiling!

*has no teeth

*babbles, but doesn't say any real words yet

*loves her big sister

*loves to splash in the bath

*likes to stand up, but can't quite pull herself up

*is eating Stage 2 foods and puffs

Happy birthday, Caroline!

I cannot believe that our little peanut is 2 years old...and what a wonderful two years it has been.

Her 2 year stats:

Height:  91.4 cm - 92%

Weight:  29 lbs 8 oz  -79%

Head Circumference: - 49.5 cm 92%

Caroline is sweet and spunky, which is a great combination.  Her personality is really evident now and it is BIG. She is going to keep us on our toes!

She still likes to dance and sing and is talking up a storm.  She has just recently started watching a little TV.  Her favorites are Frozen, Bubble Guppies and Mickey Mouse, in that order.  She loves to play outside in the yard with her Daddy.  Yes, she now says Daddy and Mommy.  I like it.  I think it makes Lee sad that the Dada time has passed.

Caroline is really sweet with Tolson.  They are starting to interact more and more.  Caroline likes to make Tolson laugh and usually succeeds.  She tries to console her when she cries.  She still calls her Baby or Baby Tolly, but every once and a while will say Tolson, so I know she knows what her name is.  Tolson is in a hair pulling stage and Caroline will cry for me to help her, but she doesn't get mad at Tolson.  She is a great big sister!

She is a smart little thing.  She is starting to count, say her ABC's and can name about 10 of the main colors.  She likes school and her teachers and her friends.  She names the kids in her class during her prayers at night, along with all of her cousins and aunts and uncles and grandparents.  Her favorite songs at bedtime are Twinkle, Twinkle and You are My Sunshine.  She is even starting to sing along.

She likes the beach.  She wakes up wanting to go to "da beach" and put on her "baby suit."  She likes the boat.  She LOVES her Daddy. She can't sleep without her "baby."

Basically, she is a really sweet, funny, hard headed and smart little two year old and I still can't believe she is mine.  I'm a little sad that she is getting so big, but at the same time, I can't wait to see what the future holds for her!

Weekend Away

We spent a rare weekend away in Asheville for a friends wedding.  Beautiful wedding and fun with great friends.  Somehow, this is the only picture I have.  Thanks, Mom, for keeping the girls!
